The Water Database and Asset Management workshop is currently underway at the Beachfront Resort, Tuarabu, Abaiang by the Water and Sanitation Engineering Department (WSED) from 7th February to 9th February 2025.

This retreat is aimed at training the department using the mWater digital platform for data collection for Water and Sanitation infrastructures/systems on the outer islands.

The training is conducted by Mr. Luke Bamberry from Pacific Consulting Ltd. and funded by the New Zealand (MFAT) through “Managing Water Scarcity through Strengthened Water Resources Management Project” implemented by “The Pacific Community (SPC”) in collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy (MISE).

Workshop participants include representatives from MISE Administration, The Pacific Community (SPC), Technical Assistants (TAs), MISE Director General, WSED Director and Water & Sanitation Engineering Department staff.
